Thank you Alfred A. Knopf and Penguin Randomhouse for my copy of Woman Without Shame!

I salivate over books about women stepping into their power. I was introduced to Cisneros’ writing last year when i finally picked up The House on Mango Street. Her words cut sharp because they are relatable. I feel so incredibly seen in Cisneros’ words and am wildly thankful for the voice and nudge of courage she has given to her many readers.

In this collection of poetry & prose, Woman Without Shame, she delves into the idea of living a life unapologetically, of aging without shame, while not forgetting our roots. Cisneros’ writing is so alluring and lyrical. Her words are π˜π˜Œπ˜“π˜› and act as a healing salve for the soul. This is a collection I know I will repeatedly return to and find hidden gems I may have missed before. Cisneros’ spirit is one that has been set ablaze and has enraptured those drawn in by her warmth.
